Global Payments Inc. Level 4 Merchants PCI DSS Program
To demonstrate our level of commitment, Global Payments has engaged two Qualified Payment Application Security Companies to help Level 4 Merchants determine their risk and provide direction to solutions. To participate in Global Payments’ PCI DSS Compliance Program, merchants can choose from SecurityMetrics or Trustwave.
All merchants must be compliant. The best way to obtain your compliance is to validate with a Qualified Secured Assessor “QSA.”
A Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) has been developed by American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa to help protect cardholder data from being stolen and then used for fraudulent purchases and identity theft. All merchants are required to comply with the PCI DSS. Obtaining and maintaining compliance with the PCI DSS is the best protection for your business and your customers.
Visa has mandated that all merchants must be PCI DSS compliant or use Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA DSS) compliant payment applications.
What is Global Payments doing to help their merchants with their compliance process?
Global Payments is working with SecurityMetrics and Trustwave, Payment Card Industry Security Standard Council (PCI SSC) approved vendors, to help you evaluate the extent of your PCI DSS validation requirements and to assist with your compliance process. We have created PCI DSS Compliance Programs in which SecurityMetrics or Trustwave will assist you in obtaining full compliance which will include the completion of a Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ). They also have the ability to assist you in locating any stored unencrypted cardholder data that you may have in your system.
